Alvin Amante, DMD, FAAPD

Dr. Amante is a board-certified Pediatric Dentist, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He completed a 2-year pediatric dentistry residency in 2010 at the University of Rochester Eastman Institute for Oral Health in New York. After his training, he served as faculty of Community Dentistry at the University of Rochester and was the Director for Smile Mobile Dental units that provided dental care for inner city school children. In 2012, Dr. Amante and his family moved to Northern Virginia where he joined a private practice as an associate pediatric dentist before opening Culpeper Kids Dentistry.

Dr. Amante earned his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the University of the Philippines in 1993. He served as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry for four years before moving to the United States for post graduate training. In 2000, Dr. Amante received a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from the University of Rochester and practiced as a general dentist in Seattle, WA for eight years. During this time, Dr. Amante volunteered locally, providing dental care for homeless youth shelters in Seattle. He also volunteered with Medical Teams International and traveled to Oaxaca, Mexico on medical/dental missions. It was through these experiences as a volunteer that he discovered his passion for treating children and that inspired him to further his education and training in Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Amante and his wife, Rhoda, are the proud parents of Isabel, Noah, and Joseph. They love exploring Virginia State Parks, hanging out by the pool, and trying out new restaurants. Dr. Amante and his wife love to travel and hope to take more trips abroad with their children.
